March 28, 1903 - March 27, 1969
Mrs. Bertha Tippett died March 27 in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Tippett was born in Louisiana, the daughter of Phil and Minnie Reedy Green. Survivors include her husband, Roosevelt Tippett, El Dorado; one daughter, Mrs. Ether Mae Coleman, Saginaw, Mich.; eight sisters, Mrs. Cassie Moore, and Mrs. Eva Massey, both of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Georgia Bell Archie, Miss Leola Green, Mrs. Josie Reed, all of El Dorado, Mrs. Casoda Green, Little Rock, Miss Hannah Reedy, Mt. Holly, Mrs. Mary Lou Garden, Houston, Tex.; two brothers, George Reedy and Albert Reedy, both of El Dorado; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ, Rock Island Addition. Burial was in Lott Burgy under the direction of Andrews Funeral home.
