December 11, 1911 - August 28, 1965
Mrs. Corine Fairchild, age 53, of 412 Liberty St., died in her home Tuesday unexpectedly. She was born in Ruston, La., Dec. 11, 1911, she was the daughter of Press and Nettie Rhone. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1921 and a member of Circle No. 1. Surviving are: her mothers, Mrs. Nettie Buffett, El Dorado; five sons, Jimmy Joe and Jerry Lee Fairchild, both of Detroit, Mich., Kinnie and Preston Fairchild both of Omaha, Neb., and Sammie Ray Fairchild, El Dorado; her grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Garr, Houston, Tex.; eight sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wesley, El Dorado, Mrs. Ella Reed, Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Jewlee Brown, Mrs. Leola Shorts, Mrs. Nath Strodder, Mrs. Florence Rushing, Mrs. Murleen Crawford, and Mrs. Louise Lewis all of Ruston, La.; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Lincoln and Grove streets, with Rev. L. R. Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. (The El Dorado Times - August 28, 1965)
