*When David Allen Starkey was born on January 8, 1855, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, his father, John, was 31 and his mother, Nancy, was 21. He married Pernimer Elizabeth Nemma Laster on April 4, 1880. They had seven children in 16 years. He died on November 23, 1904, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, at the age of 49, and was buried there.
Pernimer Elizabeth Nemma Laster was born on August 4, 1860. She married David Allen Starkey on April 4, 1880. They had seven children in 16 years. She died on June 3, 1928, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 67, and was buried in Rose Bud, Arkansas.
