*When William Davidson was born on May 18, 1832, in Kentucky, his father, Newsom, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 31. He married Sciota Martin on February 10, 1857, in Pulaski, Kentucky. They had eight children in 15 years. He died on August 22, 1881, at the age of 49, and was buried in Rose Bud, Arkansas.
