*When Lelia Easter Elliott was born on December 1, 1883, in Tennessee, her father, Richard, was 27, and her mother, Mary, was 23. She married Otto Tid Thomas (1882–1909) and they had two children together. She then married Elisha Allen Starkey and they had six children together. She died on January 22, 1957, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 73.
Elisha Allen Starkey was born on July 14, 1884, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, the son of Nina and David. He married Lelia Easter Elliott on September 29, 1912. They had six children during their marriage. He died on March 2, 1967, in his hometown at the age of 82, and was buried there.
