Angela Ford Jones was born March 6, 1963 in El Dorado, AR to the late Tom Ford and Savannah G. Ford, and Savannah G. Ford, she departed this life February 21, 2018 in Little Rock, AR at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church at her early adult years in El Dorado, AR.
Angela was raised in El Dorado, AR and was affectionately known by her family as “A-BO” which stuck with her throughout her life.
Angela was employed for 24 years at cooper tire as a conveyor operator in El Dorado, AR until the plant closed. She loved her job, and was a very hard working woman. She seemed to have a real gift for this kind of work.
Angela was such a hard working woman, after the closing of her job at cooper tire she went on to work for General Dynamic for 3 years building Rocker Motors. After she could no longer work in hard labor do to her health, she started a lighter job as a custodian to keep her busy.
Angela was the type of person who loved the outdoors and loved cook outs with family and friends. She also liked going out to eat and taking trips with her husband and family. She loved her sports as well, her favorite was to watch tennis, but out of all she was truly a people person who will be missed by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her Mother Savannah G Ford and Father Toni Ford, Her sisters; Ruth Williams and Karen reed, her brother James Biggs and grandson D’Angelo Toney.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Roderick Jones, El Dorado, AR, her sons; Darius Toney and Bryant Toney Little Rock, AR; Daughters Laci Ross El Dorado, AR and Kenya Williams, Frisco, TX. Brother Charles (Linda) Ford El Dorado, AR., Sisters: Merry Hicks El Dorado, AR, Sondra Hicks Ford ( Rosario) Memphis, TN, Barbara Nell Barnes (Moses) Fort Worth, TX, Joyce Ann Jackson Camden, AR, 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Public visitation, Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the family hour from 5:00 – 6:00p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Services at 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Greater Paradise B. C., 729 Marsh Ave. El Dorado, AR
