Brother Jodie" Blackstick" Clemons, Sr. die Wednesday, April 6,2011 at John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born September 1, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Lennie Clemons, Sr. and Lue Clara Williams.

He was a member of Faith In The Word Christian Center.

He was a retired mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Velma Shutes and Annie Mae Miller and one brother Johnny Samuel, two sons Christopher Jackson, Warren Jackson and one great grandchild Brittany Rhodes.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 52 years Lula Mae Clemons; six sons, Otis Miller, Thomas(Debbie)Miller, L.C. Clemons and James Clemons all of El Dorado, AR, Gary(Jackie)Jackson of St. Louis,Missouri and Jode Clemons,Jr.; five daughters Alice(Rickey)Alford, Angela(Tony)Thomas, Velma(Steve)Brown all of El Dorado, Arkansas, Earnestine White of Little Rock, Arkansas and Vera Jackson of Little Rock, Arkansas; five brothers, Sammy Riley of San Diego, California, Otis Sanders of Detroit, Michigan, Supt. Lennie(Christine)Clemons, Jr., James Williams, Benny Williams of El Dorado; five sisters, Mary Ford of California, Erma(Willie) Britt of Texarkana, Texas, Murlene Miller of Los Angeles, California, Myrtle(Willie) Miller of El Dorado, Arkansas and Dorothy(Hosea)Levingston; thirty grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Clemons will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Erma Jackson officiating and interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
