Husband of Lora Dell Williams McCubbin
WC was a businessman, politician, deputy sheriff, sheriff, and county health official when he died helping contain the smallpox epidemic in Logan County. He owned a store in Paris that Lora Dell ran after he passed away.
WC McCubbin Died May 20, 1901, Aged 47 Years, 8 Mos, and 19 Ds.
Tread softly on the grave of one our hearts had learned to love.

WCs grave is right under the large oak in the middle of the cemetary on S. 16th St. He is buried beside his wife and with his young son.
