June 19, 1894 - November 29, 1969
Robert C. Rodgers, 75, of 906 Taylor St., died Saturday in a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born in El Dorado, June 19, 1894. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Robert C. Rodgers, Jr., El Dorado, Eddie Lee Rodgers and Tyrone Rodgers, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ora Lee Mullins, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Vesta Mae Snowden, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Nina Sue Meeks of Texarkana; 45 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in First Baptist Church on Cordell Street with the Rev. E. A. Porchia officiating. Burial will follow in Lott Bergy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. The family will be at the home of Robert C. Rodgers, Jr., 514 Lester St. (El Dorado Times - December 5, 1969)
