September 15, 1885 - December 12, 1968
Rev. Charlie Allen died Tuesday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Rev. Allen was born in Morgansy, Louisiana, the son of Luke and Zelma Allen. His survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cora L. Grazier of El Dorado; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. I. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. (El Dorado Times - December 14, 1968)
