Mrs. Evie Galbert died in a local hospital Monday. She was born March 27, 1895, in Harrell, Ark., and had been a resident of El Dorado for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a member of several organizations. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lille Mae Richardson, El Dorado; two sons, Clarence Galbert, EL Dorado, and Ervin Galbert, Chicago, Ill.; two grandsons and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Morman, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Mable Causey, Milwaukee, Wis.; four brothers, Van Wood, San Francisco, Calif., Jet Woods and Vernon Woods, both of Milwaukee, and Chester Woods, Harrell. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. E. A. Porchia officiating. Burial will follow in Lot Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be James L. Nelson, Raymond Jordon, John Powell, Jimmy Howard, Jr., B. J. Williams, R. William Jamerson and Harvey Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be all Deacons of the First Baptist Church. The family request that memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church, 620 Cordell St., building fund for the education building. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.
