C. S. Company E, 2nd (Duke’s) Kentucky Cavalry Regiment Pvt/Pvt. Enlisted 1 Jun 1862 at Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennessee. Captured at Woodbury, Kentucky 26 Oct 1862. Exchanged 15 Nov 1862 at Vicksburg, Mississippi. Wounded and captured 26 Jul 1863 at Salineville, Ohio. Imprisoned at Atheneum Prison, Wheeling West Virginia. Transferred to Camp Chase, Columbus, Ohio 5 Aug 1863. Transferred to Fort Delaware 29 Feb and received there 4 Mar 1864. Took Oath of Allegiance and released 9 Jun 1865.
