Velma M. Hutchinson was born December 27, 1920 in Mannsville, Oklahoma to Daniel and Ona (Prater) Keel.
She departed this life on May 25, 2012 in Pryor at the age of 91 years 4 months and 28 days.
Velma attended school in Mannsville and graduated from Mannsville High School, she then attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas. She was married to Alfred Hutchinson in 1942 in Camden, New Jersey; he preceded her in death in 1984.
Velma moved to Pryor in 1984 from Paris, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Velma enjoyed collecting things and being with her family.
Velma is survived by sister Leslie Yates of Pryor, two nieces Janit Wilkerson and husband Jim of Manford, Oklahoma and Gina Small and husband Tommy of Salina, one nephew Larry Hutchinson and wife Christy of Paris, Arkansas, two very special friends Mary Ann Brody and Ann Chastine of Arkansas, one aunt Erma McKay of Pryor and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband,
Velma was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
