*When Pallie Luvean Mayes was born on April 7, 1881, in Mississippi, her father, A., was 34, and her mother, Caroline, was 30. She married John Henry Chism on January 20, 1899, in Monroe, Mississippi. They had ten children in 20 years. She died on February 14, 1950, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 68, and was buried there.
