Mary Ellen Brundle of Marionville, MO, passed away on January 14, 2018. She was born on April 12, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio to Grace and Fulton Luckie. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Robert Brundle, son Brett Morris, Jr. and sisters Lucy Combs and Patty Vorhees.

Mary Ellen attended the University of Houston earning a BS degree in Education in 1970 and a MEd degree in 1974 in Curriculum & Instruction. She was a teacher in the Houston Public Schools. She completed a second Master’s Degree in 1993 from the University of Arkansas. She became a certified counselor in Arkansas that same year.

Mary Ellen took up running when she retired. She competed at the state and the national levels in the Senior Olympics winning many Gold Metals. She was an Alderman for Marionville.

Mary Ellen had a great love for God and saw Him in every aspect of life.

Mary Ellen is survived by her children: Barbara Hill, Marjorie Cole, John Morris, Sallie Wilson, David Morris, and Mark Morris. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on January 27, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 301 S. College Avenue, Marionville, MO 65705.
