Aaron "Boont" Ruffin died at his home Monday. He was born in El Dorado and was the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Will Hart Ruffin. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Ruffin Caver, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Carl Ruffin and William Ruffin; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie White and Mrs. Luella Champion, all of El Dorado, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. A. D. Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Lott Burgie Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of the church. Active pallbearers will be William Ruffin, Jr., Foster Thomas, Mose White, Jr., Bobbie Dean White, Gordie Holt, Phillip Ruffin, A. J. Holms and Larry Ruffin. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Saturday. (El Dorado Times - July 24, 1971)
