Betty (Gentry) Bevill, 85, of Searcy passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019. She was born May 3, 1934 in Mt. Pisgah, Arkansas to the late Martin and Reta (Gilreath) Gentry.
Betty was a member of Searcy First Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher for several years. She taught the 2-3-year-old class. Betty had very sweet spirit. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished her time with them. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Teri Garrison (Steve) of Searcy; one grandson, Oliver Thomas (Bethany) of Ozark; two step grandchildren, Nicholas Garrison and Rebecca Cresswell; and one brother, MB Gentry of Goldsboro, North Carolina. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. Bevill; four sisters, Marie Davis, Jean Barlow, Louise Davis, and Alene McCollum and one brother, William E. Gentry.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Searcy, with burial at Smyrna Cemetery in Searcy. Share A Memory: www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
