PARIS - Woodrow Harland "Woody" Pennington, 88, of Paris died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in a Booneville hospital. He was born March 5, 1923, in Ozark. He was a retired coal miner, Army veteran of World War II and member of Charleston Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene
Daughter, Sharon Sandburg of Orlando, FL
Sister, Patsy Lee of Caulksville
One grandchild and three great-grandchildren

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Junior and Art Carter, Jerry Melton, Goldie Goldsworthy, Adolf Forst and Jim Mikles.

The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lorene B. Pennington, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born March 22, 1929 to the late Albert Hice and Rose (Bell) Hice. She was 88 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Pennington.

Lorene was a former restaurant owner in Ratcliff, and a cook for the Paris Senior Citizen Center. She was also of the Assembly of God faith.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17th, at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, with the Rev. Vondal Davenport officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by two sisters, Wanda Owen and Wilma Forst, both of Paris, and one brother, Stanley Hice of Ratcliff.
