Shelia Kay (Hurst) Thurman, who resided near New Blaine, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 25, 1964 in Paris to the late Aaron Eugene Hurst and Lorene (Sherrill) Hurst. She was 48 years old.

She was also preceded in death by one son, John Andrew Thurman and one brother, Michael Gene Hurst.

Shelia was a homemaker, a 1982 graduate of Paris High School, and member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Dardanelle.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with the Rev. Don Lovelace officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband, Shane Thurman; two daughters, Reshayna Thurman and husband David Corley of Paris and Sydney Smith and husband James of New Blaine; one son, Michael Hurst of New Blaine; three sisters, Rebecca Lensing of New Blaine, Betty Pitts of Charleston, and Ann Morphis of Paris; one brother, Larry Hurst of Booneville; five grandchildren, Mary Jane, Andrew, Noah, Zachariah, and Kyla.

Pallbearers will be Billy Garcia, Bill Warnock, Scott Lindstrom, Aaron Hurst, Larry Hurst, Jr. and Buddy Fondren.
