BELLA VISTA — Martin Truman, 83, of Bella Vista died Sept. 1, 2002, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Sept. 27, 1918, in Newberry, Ohio, to Frank O. and Flora Nye Truman. He was a 1937 graduate of Burton (Ohio) High School. He attended Brown Instrument School in Philadelphia, Pa, and worked for Dupont Co. for 26 years as an instrument engineer. He worked in Luxembourg for five years and in Isfahan, Iran, for three years. He retired to Bela Vista in 1979. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Bella Vista Men's 18-Hole Golf Association. He was preceded in death by one son, Jon Truman.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Truman, to whom he was married 61 years; one brother, Heman Truman of Canton, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista with the Rev. Larry Williams and the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista 72714, or a favorite charity.
