BELLA VISTA — Eloise Herring Weatherby, 88, of Bella Vista died June 11, 2002, at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1914, in Tahoka, Texas, to Millard and Mabel Shook Herring. She moved to Bella Vista in 1978 from St Louis, Mo. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Bella Vista Women's Club and the Bella Vista Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Lee Weatherby, to whom she was married 65 years; one daughter, Gail Allen of Houston, Texas; one son, James Lee Weatherby Jr. and wife Alice of Austin, Texas; one sister, Beth Herring Singleton of Houston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Bentonville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Bella Vista Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice.
