James Patrick Henry passed from this life to his eternal life on August 7, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on January 2, 1971 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Patrick Owen Henry and June Shackelford Henry. Jim was married to Becky Langer Henry for 25 years. He was an accountant for the Community School of Cleburne County and thoroughly loved serving the children and adults there. Jim was a professional musician who played guitar, piano, sang, and wrote many songs. He enjoyed sports whether he was playing, coaching, or watching his children and friends play. Jim also loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, camping, boating, or just sitting on his front porch. Jim was a dedicated member of the Rose Bud First Baptist Church where he served as a musician, Sunday School teacher, and any other position where he was needed.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Owen Henry.
He is survived by his mother, June Shackelford Henry; wife, Becky Langer Henry; sons, Chris and Joe; daughter, Maddie; brothers, Richard Henry (fiancé, Haley Steele) and Craig Henry; and many more family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Rose Bud First Baptist Church. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the church with burial in Gravel Hill Memorial Gardens.
