*When Benjamin W. Bolton was born on May 9, 1831, in Tennessee, his father, William, was 43 and his mother, Jane, was 26. He married Caroline T. Ward in 1853 in his hometown. They had five children in 15 years. He died on October 28, 1878, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 47, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
