BELLA VISTA - William Harry Lynn, 71, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice-Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Susan Lynn; daughters, Betsy (John) Lange of Grafton, Wis., and Molly Lynn of Riverside, Mo.; grandchildren, Ian and Lennox Lange of Grafton, Wis.; step-granddaughter Sarah Bonneau of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters Betty (Fred) McAuliffe of Whitehall, Mont., Joy (Kim) Taylor of Southaven, Miss., and Faye (Kenneth) Jackson of Columbia, Tenn.; and brother, Mark (Karen) Lynn of Laguna Hills, Calif.

Harry was born in 1947 in Columbia, Tenn., to Mark and Beulah Lynn, as the youngest of five siblings. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1969 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. His career in mechanical engineering and engineering management moved him and his family to manufacturing companies in Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas and Wisconsin where they made many lifelong friends along the way. Harry is an inventor of several U.S. Patents which were awarded while he worked as the Director of Engineering at his last place of employment, Gardner Denver (formerly Thomas Industries, Inc.) in Sheboygan, Wis.

He and Susan retired and moved from Kohler, Wis., to Bella Vista, Ark., in 2009 where he thoroughly enjoyed having more time to spend with friends and family, working on inventions, being the computer guru for anyone that needed techie help, spoiling his and Susan's cats, riding motorcycles, exploring the many curvy backroads in the area, finding new and interesting restaurants for him and Susan to try; playing guitar and jamming on Wednesday nights with The BeeVees in his basement music room.

A celebration of Harry's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. until service time.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village.
