*Helen Pope was born on October 18, 1866, in Wynne, Arkansas. She married Clopton Monroe Owen on October 13, 1887, in Howell, Missouri. She died on July 8, 1888, in Kensett, Arkansas, at the age of 21.
When Clopton Monroe Owen was born on December 23, 1865, in Red River, Arkansas, his father, Thomas, was 45 and his mother, Harrodine, was 41. He married Helen Pope on October 13, 1887, in Howell, Missouri. He then married Jane Mariah Rice and they had four children together. He died on August 9, 1924, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 58, and was buried in Jackson, Tennessee.
