*Obituary
Gomer L. Harper, 88, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, in a Paris nursing home. He was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Logan County. He was a dairy and mink farmer; a lifelong resident of Paris; a member of the Church of Christ; and a United States ARMY veteran of World War II. He was active in organizing and helping fund local veteran memorial events.

Mr. Harper is survived by his wife: Colela; a daughter: Donna Bice of Greenwood, Arkansas; a sister: Crystal Kimmons of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and four grandchildren.

Funeral was held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004,at the Church of Christ in Paris.
Mr. Harper was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas, under the direction of Murry Funeral Home of Paris.
Pallbearers were: John Zeiler, Tod Paterson, James Parker, Don King, Bob Featherston and Johnny Goodson.

Ms. Colela Harper of Paris, Arkansas, died 11/13/2011 in Paris. Ms. Harper was 89 years old. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Paris, Arkansas.

Ms. Harper was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Gomer Harper.
She leaves behind 1 child: Ladonna Bice, of Greenwood, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and a host of friends.

Funeral service was held on 11/17/2011, at Brotherton Brothers
Funeral Chapel in Paris, Arkansas.
Ms. Harper was laid to rest at Oadwood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas.
