*When Joseph William West was born on December 18, 1882, in Joy, Arkansas, his father, Benjamin, was 28 and his mother, Mary, was 30. He married Clara Viola Wallace on November 29, 1906, in his hometown. They had seven children in 13 years. He died on February 4, 1964, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 81, and was buried there.
Clara Viola Wallace was born on January 18, 1882, in White, Arkansas. She married Joseph William West on November 29, 1906, in Joy, Arkansas. They had seven children in 13 years. She died on January 14, 1971, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 88, and was buried there.
