*When Martha Dee "Mattie" Sowell was born in July 1886 in White, Arkansas, her father, David, was 60, and her mother, America, was 40. She married Alda Clyde Mc Caslin on June 17, 1917. She died in 1967 in her hometown at the age of 81, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
