BELLA VISTA — Richard Steven Yunker, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed from this life to the next March 13, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born Nov. 24, 1946, to the late Samuel and Dolores Yunker of Wilmar, Minn.
Richard proudly served in the Navy, completing two tours in Vietnam. He was a retired Chicago police officer having served 29 years. He was an avid card player, golfer, and enjoyed model railroads. He and his wife moved to Bella Vista from Chicago 20 years ago. Richard enjoyed life and was a friend to everyone he met.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Ann and sister Sharon Estes.
He is survived by daughters Patty (Joseph) Jerabeck of Bentonville and Colleen (George) Davy of Schaumburg, Ill.; sister Rose Litkowiak of Chicago, Ill.; granddaughters Ruth and Victoria; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 19, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and a funeral service will follow 2 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. Interment will be at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice,1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, Ark., 72712.
