Olen Donald “Bo” McGaugh, 88 of El Dorado, passed away, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born June 23, 1926, to George Alfred and Ethel Lawrence McGaugh in El Dorado, AR.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds he received in the battle of the Bulge. Bo worked as a postman for the US Postal Service until his retirement in 1986, was President of the Parkers Chapel Cemetery Association, assisted with funeral homes on services for years, and was a member of Bethel Chapel Assembly of God Church, where he was a trustee and served in many other positions.

Preceding him in death are his parents; three brothers, William, Clyde, and Alfred McGaugh; and six sisters, Vera Carelock, Georgia Kinard, Ruth Neely, Jimmy Roberts, Earlene Allen and Willie Lee McClammy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Myrtle Delona Foster McGaugh of El Dorado; two sons, Donald Ray McGaugh (Deborah) of El Dorado; Mark Edward McGaugh (Barbara) of Bella Vista; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Harrison (Carl Ray) of El Dorado; seven grandchildren, Joey Jones, Matthew McGaugh, Benjamin McGaugh, Anthony Harrison, Melinda Aaron, Amanda Jones, and Jennifer McGaugh; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Bethel Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Steve Moss and Rev. Bob Inmon officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
