Joseph Hugh McCurry, age 76 of El Dorado, passed away on December 28, 2018 at Life Touch Hospice. He was born March 16, 1942 in El Dorado to Joe Dan and Margie McCurry.
Joe is survived by his wife, Martha McCurry of El Dorado; three daughters, Tina Phillips (Jim) of El Dorado, Rhonda Alphin (Jeff) of El Dorado and Kristi McAuliffe (Kevin) of El Dorado; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Herrera of El Dorado, Hope Tarlton (Taylor) of El Dorado, Danika Stinnett of El Dorado, Annie Phillips of El Dorado, Korbin McAuliffe of El Dorado, Kenlee McAuliffe of El Dorado and Reaux McAuliffe of El Dorado and two great grandchildren, Ryker Herrera and Owen Tarlton.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Dan McCurry and Margie McCurry Cross and his brother, Larry McCurry.

After high school he served in the Navy from 1962-1966. He was on the ship, USS Eaton in Norfolk, VA. Joe worked for Cooper for over 20 years and then worked at Parkers Chapel School unto retirement. Joe loved spending time with his family, gardening and fishing. His greatest passion was hunting. He loved to go to Bishop Deer Camp and hunt and spend time with friends and family during the hunting seasons. He was a member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church.

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 with Bro. Larry Hudson officiating and under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
