Benjamin “Jacob” Sawyers, 21, of Conway, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was born October 3, 1996 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of David Sawyers and Brooks Benson Sawyers.
Jacob is survived by his parents; three brothers, Logan Sawyers and wife Jessica, Blake Sawyers and Nathan Sawyers; a grandmother, Linda Freeman Benson; grandparents Herschel and Barbara Sawyers; a great-grandmother, Irene Benson Griffith; aunts Brittany Benson Schaefer and husband Andy, Connie Sawyers McQueen and husband Mark, Debbie Sawyers Qualtieri and husband Paul; an uncle, King Benson and wife Whitney; and several loving cousins, extended family and special friends. He is preceded in death by a grandfather, Steve Benson.
Jacob's body will await his glorious resurrection in Honey Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Conway Human Development Center (Jacob's home for the past three years), 150 E. Siebenmorgen Road, Conway, Arkansas 72032; or to the Searcy Sunshine School, 901 Airport Loop, Searcy, Arkansas, 72143.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Valley Baptist Church of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net
