*When John Samuel Grissom was born on October 25, 1873, in Arkansas, his father, William, was 24 and his mother, Amanda, was 20. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Love Grissom on October 31, 1901. They had seven children in 13 years. He died on November 19, 1954, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 81, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
When Elizabeth "Lizzie" Love Grissom was born on December 24, 1876, in Arkansas, her father, William, was 44, and her mother, Virginia, was 35. She married John Samuel Grissom on October 31, 1901. They had seven children in 13 years. She died on November 22, 1957, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 80, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
