Irene M. (Tillman) Rainey Parks, 94 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Paris. Irene was born on February 26, 1917 in Paris to her parents Ernest and Emma Jane (Cowan) Tillman. Irene was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris where she worked as a cook for 35 years and later worked an additional 35 years in the nursery. She also worked at Valley View Lodge as a cook for 4 years and volunteered at the Community Outreach Service in Paris until the age of 83. Irene was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion for 28 years, Project Compassion for 10 years and assisted in the development of the Paris Senior Center.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Emma Jane Tillman, her husbands George Rainey and John Parks and three brothers Guy, Eugene and Johnny Tillman.

Irene is survived by two daughters, Shirley Dodd and husband David of Russellville and Norma Gilcrease of Paris, two sons, Gerald Drewry of Van Buren and Gary Rainey and wife Debbie of Greenwood, one step-son Donald Rainey of Flint, Michigan, five grandchildren, Danna Hines and David Dodd of Russellville, Sarah and Isabella Rainey of Greenwood and Stacey Drewry and wife Catrenia of Biloxi, Mississippi, and seven great grandchildren, Seth, Preston, Tatum and Brandon Drewry all of Biloxi and Devon, Tyler and Ryan Dodd all of Russellville.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Clyde Vire and Rev. H.C. Varnadore. Burial will be at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
