August 26, 1901 - March 4, 1970
Jess Hilton Foster, 68, of Rt. 6, El Dorado, died Wednesday night in a local hospital following a long illness. Mr. Foster was born Aug. 26, 1901 in Union County and was the son of William M and Frankie Fain Foster. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired commercial fisherman. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Sally Cater of El Dorado. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Rumph Mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Turner officiating. Burial will be in old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Michael Greer, Donald Greer, Eddie Greer, Curtis Bridges, Willard Fincher and Norman Fincher. (El Dorado Times - March 5, 1970)
