Mona Cavender 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2016 on Friday at her residence.
Born July 12, 1923 in Bossier City, LA; she was the daughter of Earl Ellsworth and Opal Jewel Rogers Porter. Mona loved the adventures that life brought her. She loved to travel, especially to Colorado and Hawaii, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She will be missed more than words can say. We will meet again.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children; Linda (Wayne) Brown of Fort Worth, Robert (Yolanda) Garrett of California, Tommy Walker of Arizona, and Jane Fennell of El Dorado; grandchildren, Rusty, lance, Audrey, Kasey, Geoffrey, Jason and Jennifer, great-grandchildren, Quin, Tristan, Andy, Sarah, Emeree, John, Kris and Madison. great-great-grandchildren, Weslee, Carter, Kamery and Ruby.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. May 16th. at Young’s.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating. Interment will follow at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pokharel, Terry and the staff of Life Touch Hospice for their love and kindness through it all.
