BELLA VISTA — Robert Vernon Inge, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Circle of Life Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on Aug. 18, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., to Roy Inge and Mabel W. Leavitt Inge.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II and Korean Conflict. He received his BRA from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla., in 1951. He lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., moving to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1965 and then moved to Bella Vista in March 1987.

He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church, church choir and men's chorus. He was a member of the PIA and Big "I" Insurance Associations, Golf Leagues and Duplicate Bridge Clubs, Bronze Life Master.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lt. Col. Richard D. Inge; and one sister, Lenora A. Doyle.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Inge of Bella Vista, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Marcette Harvey of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Nancy Underwood of Lafayette, La.; four stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at the Bella Vista Community Church Sanctuary, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, Ar., with the Rev. Dr. Anna Teel officiating.

Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church; Bella Vista Men's Chorus; or to the Bella Vista Public library, 11 Dickens Place, Bella Vista, AR 72714.
