The Rev. Lowell Jones, 88, of Paris died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, in Paris. He was a minister for 46 years with Faith Pentecostal Church of God, owned and operated Jones Trucking in Paris and was a cattle rancher for many years. Lowell and his wife, Mabel, were married 71 years and two days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Farris (Horn) Jones, and one brother, Ivo Jones.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Faith Pentecostal Church of God, 1611 S. Elm, in Paris with burial at McVay Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his spouse, Mabel Jones of the home; daughter, Lacreta Farris of Fort Smith; son, the Rev. James C. Jones of Paris; three sisters, Erma Faye Lee of Paris, Betty Perez and Lois Jones of Ventura, Calif.; one brother, Harold Jones of Paris; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Neely, Cody Neely, Joshua Beers, James Beers, Mitchell Jones and Steve Sanchez.

Mabel Jones, 88, of Paris died in Paris Saturday, June 13, 2009. She was born March 7, 1921 to HJ & Myrtel Barger in Lamar, AR. Mabel was a retired seamstress from Lady Fair Mills, a homemaker and member of Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years, Rev. Lowell Jones, and two brothers, Arthur & Clarence Barger.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Paris with burial at McVay Cemetery-Paris.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Roller Funeral Home Chapel, Paris, AR
She is survived by: One son, Rev. James C. Jones of Paris, AR; one daughter, Lacreta Farris of Ft. Smith, AR; one sister, Ruth Barnett of Abilene, TX; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Josh & Jamie Beers, Cody & Kyle Neely, Mitch Jones and Steve Sanchez.
