Monroe Lee Hutchins, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Paris Health and Rehab Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 23, 1933 in Chismville, Arkansas to the late Monroe Franklin Hutchins and Erma Lena (Street) Hutchins. He was 78 years old.

He was also preeceded in death by his wife, Brenda; three infant sisters and one infant brother; sister, Mona Tillery; brother, James Hutchins and an infant grandson.

Monroe was a lifelong resident of Paris where he worked as a truck driver for many years for Paris Rendering and McCubbing Oil Co. He also owned and operated his own trucks later on. Monroe was past president of Paris RACT and Paris CB Club. He was Logan County Chairman for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon for many years to raise money fighting the battle of muscular dystrophy.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 31st at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Dennis Hall.

He is survived by seven daughters, Debroah Smith and husband Billy of Fort Smith, Gail Hill of Dardanelle, Mary Rodgers and husband Raymond of Little Rock, Sherry Turley and husband Dennie of Clarksville, Lila Harden of Ward, LeeAnn Davis and husband Weston of Paris,and Sue Evans and husband Shawn of Oak Grove, Louisiana; two sons, Rev. David Hutchins and wife Michelle of Dardanelle and Jr. Hutchins and wife Shenoah of Oak Grove, Louisiana; three sisters, Minnie Lou Furstenberg of Paris, Helen Krigbaum of Paris, and Judy Tomb of Iowa; two brothers, Lester Hutchins of Alma and Ronnie Hutchins of Bloomer; (21) grandchildren and (7) great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be his 21 grandchildren.
