Melvin Ray Dison, age 80, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.
Melvin was born on June 3, 1941 in El Dorado the son of Robert M and Lillian Odessa McAdams Dison. Melvin served as a SSgt in the Air Force in Vietnam. After Vietnam he start a career with J and M Poultry and retired as shipping manager with Pilgrim's Pride. He was a member of Calion Assembly of God Church. Melvin enjoyed his family and spending time with them.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Terry Lee Dison Sr. and his sisters Athan Brumley and Carolyn Lofton.

Survivors are his wife 60 years Virginia Hill Dison; a daughter Donna Breazeale (Wayne) of Hampton; sons John Dison (Brandy) of Hampton and Troy Dison (Kellie) of Mt Holly; a brother David Dison of El Dorado. Along with his grandchildren Justin Dison (Tiffany), Jordan Carter (Courtney), Hunter Carter (Chana), Amber Rodgers (Josh), Hannah Cain (Brandon Johnson), Thomas Jolly, Chloe Dison (Jeremy Carter), Alexis Murphy (Ryan) and great grandchildren Layden Freeman, Rhett Rodgers, Chelsea Rodgers, Trenton Ball, Trevor Ball, Reese Carter, John Thomas Murphy, Carter Murphy, Tinzleigh Slater, Raeden Murphy, Asher Dison, Noah Dison and Cash Cain.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Young's Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Calion Assembly of God Church with Rev. Rickey Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Old Parker's Chapel Cemetery.
