Arkansas

October 24, 1956 - September 24, 2017

John Dan Lowery, 60, of El Dorado, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was born October 24, 1956, to Cecil and Virginia Thomas Lowery in Killeen, TX.
He was a loving and caring Husband, a wonderful Dad and a special Pop. John was retired from BCS Gas after 40 years. In the 90’s John was Scout Master for the Parkers Chapel Troop 124, and watched his son get to be an Eagle Scout. He loved to hunt deer, and he had the best built deer stand, with 25 ft. stairs, recliner and carpet. He also loved to go turkey hunting in the Ouachita National Forest. John had a wonderful family and friend comradery there, real guy time, and he would be the only one that would bring home the turkey.

Preceding him in death are his parents; father-n-law, Darrell Mason; and two sisters-in-law, Gail Lowery and Pam Lowery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Terry Lowery of El Dorado; son, Wesley Lowery (Melissa) of El Dorado; daughter, Katelyn Glass (Chris) of Conway; two sweet grandchildren, Callie and Cain Glass; two brothers, David Lowery of Maumelle, Ray Lowery of El Dorado; sister, Terri Hall of El Dorado; a wonderful mother-in-law, Betty Mason, that loved her son-in-law so much; brother-in-law, Glenn Mason; many aunts, nieces, nephews, many wonderful friends; and his “man’s best friend”, Abe.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Young’s.
