Doyle Elbert, Jr MORGAN

Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery
Union County,
Arkansas

November 22, 1947 - April 18, 2020

Doyle E. Morgan Jr. “Junior” age 72 of El Dorado, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020. He was born on November 22, 1947, in El Dorado, the first of Mary and Doyle E. Morgan Sr.’s three children. He married his wife of almost 40 years, Minnie, on July 18, 1981. The couple has one daughter, Amanda Hoelzeman (Keith) of Maumelle and two grandsons, Miles and Henry.

Junior was most proud of his family and documented almost every moment of the 1980s and 1990s through photographs and his RCA camcorder. His family is thankful that so many beautiful memories were captured and remain today.

During his best days, Junior loved hunting at “the land,” talking on his CB radio, and collecting baseball cards. Some of his family’s fondest memories are of him enjoying those hobbies. He had a smile that could light up any room, and he loved talking and laughing with everyone that crossed his path. He never met a stranger.

A lifetime member of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church, Junior was greeted in heaven by his parents, D.E. and Mary Morgan, his grandparents Jack and Bessie Cates and John and Fannie Morgan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He leaves behind his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons, as well as his sister Deborah Claypoole (Mike) and brother Larry Morgan (Gay), both of Parkers Chapel, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private family graveside was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Tracy Roden officiating and under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

The family has asked that any planned memorial donations be made to Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church.
