Benny Dale Evers, 59, of El Dorado passed away February 23, 2014 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born February 16, 1955 in Roundup, Montana to Thomas Benton and Catherine Idell Andrews Evers. Benny worked as an operator in Great Lakes Chemical Company.

He was a softball and basketball coach to his daughter and all of her teammates through the Boys and Girls Club and Old Union. He was well respected and loved for the things that he had taught to all those girls through the years. Benny had a part in all of their lives. He was an avid outdoorsmen and loved golfing, hunting, and fishing. Benny was a family man above all else, he always made sure their needs were met before his own.

Benny had many loves and accomplishments in his life but the most important and most cherished in his life was his undying love, devotion and commitment to his daughter Brittney and his granddaughter Kenzlie.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and two sisters, Cathy Evers Dunn and Sally Taylor.

Survivors include a daughter, Brittney Helton and her husband Zack of El Dorado; and a granddaughter Kenzlie Paris Helton of El Dorado.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Young’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Al Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
