Aleda Jane Childs, 77, of El Dorado, passed away April 27th, 2020 early morning at Lifetouch Hospice. She was born June 21st, 1942 to the late John T. & Dorothy Book.

She loved to travel, enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, getting her nails and hair done, attending her bible study group, and most importantly loved spending time with her family.

Aleda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Edward Childs and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline “Jackie” Childs.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry H. Childs; son, Jerry “Sonny” Childs Jr.; daughter-in-law, Laura Childs; six grandchildren, Jessica Childs (Michael), Brittany Mathews, Courtney Childs (Kevin), Justin Childs (Henley), Kelsey Vann (Layson) and Anna-Claire Jones-Childs; six great-grandchildren, Jordan Cameron, Nora and Brooklynn Lindsey, Alden Mathews, Eva and Eden Vann and caretaker, Toya Larry.

Due to the COVID-19 Regulations, a private family graveside service will be held at Parker’s Chapel Cemetery officiated by Tracy Roden under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

In Lieu of flowers, family asks memorials be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas, 71730 and Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church, 3134 Haynesville Hwy, El Dorado, Arkansas, 71730.
