Charles Benjamin "Ben" Harley
July 14, 1907 - October 29, 1979

Son of Charley Van Bowen and Ella Ophelia McVay Harley. Father of 4, married 50 years to Laura Belle Lee, beloved grandfather of 13, many great grandchildren. Loved his mountain and the trees, known as Gentle Ben. He was one of the wisest people I have ever known.Worked as an electrician for the Long Beach Naval Shipyards, retired after 36 years then worked for OWID for another 15 years as a power plant operator.

Wife of Charles B. Harley, married 50 years, mother of 4, grandmother of 13,numerous greatgrandchildren.Her father was a cousin of Robert E. Lee.Her parents ran a hotel in Paris,Ark.Was a homemaker all her life.
