Bessie Irene Elbert Bethune Harmon, 93, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Barling (formerly of Paris). She was a homemaker and was born in Oppelo to her parents, Sim E. Elbert and Minnie M. Spence Elbert. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Paris, and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Hartsell Bethune and Jessie Harmon; one son, Darrell Bethune; two sisters, Dorothy Darnell and Irene Bramlet; three brothers, Bill, Charles and Carl Bramlet.
