Coy Oliver Lowery, age 78 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Monday, September 22, 2014 at St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Coy was born on August 14, 1936 in El Dorado to the late Gladys Bridges Lowery and William Jesse Lowery. Coy was a US Army Veteran, serving his country for two years. Coy worked in the maintenance department for Great Lakes Chemical, serving thirty plus years before his retirement in 1998. After retirement, Coy enjoyed going camping, fishing and raising a vegetable garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents, William Jesse Lowery and Gladys (Bridges) Lowery.
Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife, Tina Lowery of El Dorado; one son, Mike Lowery and wife Kim of El Dorado; one daughter, Elicia Maline and husband Paul of Lawrence, Kansas; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Faye Sones, Laverne Johnson, Barbara Harber and Paula Vines all of El Dorado; three brothers, Delbert "Pete" Lowery of Mebane, NC, Billy Lowery of Shreveport, LA and Danny Lowery of El Dorado also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Sam Shepperson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey funeral Home of El Dorado.
