Sylvester "Billy" White, Jr., age 71 of Searcy, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Searcy. He was born October 28, 1942 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to Sylvester White and Della Mae Edwards White.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandra White of Searcy; one daughter, Tamara "Tammy" Carpenter and husband Michael of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Byron White of Searcy; three grandchildren, Brennen Johnson of Little Rock, Michael Carpenter, III of Atlanta, Emerson Carpenter of Atlanta; four brothers, Carl White and wife Ella of Bald Knob, Kenny Ray White and wife Willie of Augusta, Darrell White, Sr. and wife Arlene of Bald Knob, Victor White, Sr. and wife Annie of Bald Knob; seven sisters-in-law, Onna Brewer and husband Titus of Searcy, Gloria Braddox and husband Norman of Rockford, Illinois, Wanda Faye Johnson of Searcy, Dorothy Crawford of Searcy, Verlia Rycraw of Bald Knob, Doris White of Flint, Michigan, Margaret White of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Joddy Haynes and wife Emmy of Germany; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Della Mae White; three brothers, Phillip White, Sr., Marvin White, Donald White; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Willie Mae Haynes; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Haynes, Johnny Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Bertha White, Marsha White; two nieces, Malissa White, Kenyatta Haynes; one nephew, Willie Eugene Haynes; and one great-nephew, Jordan Eugene Haynes.
