Garland Ray Edwards, 66, of Bald Knob died Thursday March 30, 2017 in Searcy. He was born October 4, 1950 in Bald Knob to the late George and Amanda Johnson-Edwards. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of the United States Air Force. Garland was a natural born comedian and was bigger than life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rose.
Left to cherish his memory are three children; Angela George(Jesse), Tonette Clemons, and Kourtney Edwards. Six grandchildren; Kalisha Dozier(Steven), Nicholas(Adeline), Jessica, and Erin George. Carson Clemons, and Rashia Tracy. One great-grandchild Kennedy Dozier. Siblings Geoge Jr.(Patricia), Paul(Joyce), James, Janet, Julie, Terry(Verla), and Mike Edwards(Cheryl) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a visitation on Sunday April 9 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob, Arkansas Military honors will conclude the visitation.
