*When James Samuel Eliphus "Sammy" HELMS was born on May 29, 1890, in Arkinda, Arkansas, his father, Joseph, was 19 and his mother, Sarah, was 20. He married Ada Eva/Evelyn Tidwell on September 24, 1913. They had five children in 10 years. He died on July 24, 1951, at the age of 61, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
